You are invited to TAX HOLLOW HILL BED & BREAKFAST for a relaxed getaway. Here you will have an unobstructed view of the Blue Ridge Mountains from the private deck off the Upstairs Suite at the Main House. Experience complete privacy in this tastefully furnished modern apartment with queen sized bed, full bath, microwave, refrigerator, and great room--perfect for lounging. It's fully climate-controlled and offers cable TV, if you insist on checking what's happening in the outside world.

Or choose to stay in the Mountain View Cottage and enjoy even more privacy. The Cottage, located a short distance from the Main House, is furnished with a queen-sized bed, fully equipped kitchenette, and cable TV. Like the Main house Suite, a private deck at the rear of the Cottage commands a beautiful view of the Blue Ridge Mountains.

At TAX HOLLOW HILL, you will be treated to a HOMEMADE "Country continental" breakfast in your quarters or you can choose a sumptuous country breakfast on sugar-cured ham, fried apples, and fresh homemade biscuits served at the Main House in the dining room.

If you like to wander and unwind, there are over twenty-five acres in the middle of gently rolling farm land. You can visit the Indian mound and cemetery nearby, both on the property that has been in the Colvin family since 1903.  




   







ACCOMMODATIONS All rates quoted include breakfast and state sales tax.
Upstairs Suite at the Main House
$125.00 per night, double occupancy. $65.00 per night single occupancy. There is a sleep sofa with a double bed for extra guest if needed, $20.00 per person. We offer a ten percent discount for guest who prefer to stay longer than one night.

The Mountain Cottage
$92.00 per night, double occupancy. Weekly rates are available.

  







Other Information

Attractions: historic sites, natural; attractions, and recreation areas are abundant within a thirty-mile radius. Monticello, Ash lawn, the University of Virginia, and Montpelier are but a few of the sites that enrich the history of our beautiful community. Skyline Drive, Shenandoah National Park, and Massanutten Ski Resort are also only a short drive away. Other attractions include wineries, trout fishing, orchards, farm produce, horseback riding, specialty quilt and gift shops, as well as collectibles and antique shops and restaurants --formal and informal.

Location: Simple to find in central Virginia, take U.S. route 29 into Madison County, then route 230 west 1.0 mile, turn left onto route 663, then 1.5 miles to the driveway on our right. Look for our sign.

Policies: Accommodations by reservation only. One night's deposit is required to guarantee you reservation. Smoking is limited to the outdoors. Sorry, no pets, We prefer no children under thirteen.
